The results for the first-ever digital 2020-2021 Bar Examinations were released on Tuesday, April 12. The 2020-2021 Bar Examinations opened to a high number of examinees, as they catered to two batches of law graduates. Based on previous news, the 2020 Bar Examinations were canceled due to the pandemic; and were therefore held alongside the 2021 Bar Examinations.

According to the Supreme Court (SC), out of 11,402 takers, 8,241 examinees passed. This examination was hence dubbed as the "Biggest Bar Ever" after accumulating a total passing rate of 72.28%.

However, contrary to the traditional list of results of the Bar Examinations, the results this year did not feature the Top 10 Bar Topnotchers. The Bar Examinations Committee Chair, Supreme Court Associate Justice Marvic Leonen, said that this decision was done to avoid the idea of competition among the bar examination takers. The results were instead shown in alphabetical order, but were still categorized into two: the list of successful examinees with exemplary performance (85% to 90% grades), and the list of successful examinees with excellent performance (over 90% grades). Out of 8,241 that passed, 761 exhibited exemplary performance (9.23%), while 14 exhibited excellent performance (0.17%).

Nevertheless, the SC recognized the performance of the Philippine law schools' first-time takers passing rate, and ranked them into 4 groups.
